Cosmetic Botox® is a safe derivative of botulinum toxin which temporarily freeze the small muscles in your face that cause wrinkles. Botox® is injected with a small needle into these muscles.
The needles used are very small but there will be some mild discomfort associated with treatment. Sometimes short term bruising, and occasionally, minor bleeding, can occur.
Most sessions with the doctor take between 10-15 minutes. Appointments are booked every 15 minutes.
You will see and feel results about 5-14 days after treatment.
Yes, but please carefully review the Informed Consent sheet and ask any questions you have. If you have a neurological condition, please discuss this with the doctor before treatment.
Most certainly yes.
Botox®, also known as OnabotulinumtoxinA, is produced by the company Allergan® and is the only product used at the Vancouver Botox® Clinic. Therefore yes, we only use the "brand name" and official version of Botox®.
No. We only use Botox® Cosmetic.
The Vancouver Botox® Clinic offers a flat rate of $8.00 per unit (cosmetic Botox® is not covered by the Medical Services Plan). GST (5%) and a Square Reader Fee (2.65%) are in addition to this. There are no consultation or "hidden fees."
The clinic accepts cash or cheque after each treatment. We are able to accept credit cards or debit through Square Reader which costs an additional 2.65% to use their service. There is a $50 cancellation fee without 48 hours’ notice.
In short, yes.
The 'typical' number of units are often recommended to maximize both length and effect of treatment. However, there is no 'one size fits all' approach to cosmetic Botox®. Sometimes less (or more) units are suggested.
For instance, a patient with very prominent "11's" may need a normal treatment of 20 units here, but perhaps a smaller number of units around the Crow's feet (e.g. 6 or 9 units on each side, instead of the 'typical' 12). Personal budget, desired number of treated areas, and length of effect, are all important considerations.
No. Patients only pay $8.00 / unit of Botox® administered and there is no minimum number of units.
After considering the current cost of Botox® and our overhead costs, this is a fair and reasonable price point for our clinic. We have no intention of either increasing or decreasing this price in the future, and have maintained it in our Victoria clinic since we opened in early 2019.
The clinic will run multiple times per month (see our schedule) and as we grow, we will continue to add more hours / clinics.
Only Medical Doctors licensed to practice in British Columbia performs this procedure at our clinic. We do not currently have nurse injectors. Verify physician credentials here.
We only ever take photographs for medical documentation and these are uploaded to the patient's confidential Electronic Medical Record (where we also document the Botox® treatment conducted). Such photos will never be used for marketing purposes.
